Many years ago, we started a tradition of celebration of Independence Day with fireworks on the 4th of July. However, in the late 80's or early 90's , the event moved to the 3rd of July because the guy who used to do the fireworks retired. Well the town already had a dance on the 3rd so when they could not find anyone to do the fireworks on the 4th they decided just to move it all to the 3rd. To this day, the tradition is still going strong and draws thousands of people from all over to our quaint little town. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue this tradition.
